The program for the season 2008-2009 of the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia is already completed and the sale of tickets will start on October 14th.


Palau de les Arts ReinaThe third season of the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía in Valencia starts with a comprehensive program of opera, Spanish operetta, ballet, and lyrical, symphonic and symphonic-choral concerts.

This season we may enjoy the presence of Placido Domingo, in the casting of the production by the Metropolitan Opera of New York ,“Iphigénie en Tauride” by Christoph Willibald Gluck, a dramatic opera represented in December. The famous ballet dancer Carlos Acosta and The Royal Ballet with choreographies by Nijinski, Stevenson and Balanchine during the month of April.

Enjoy opera with the representations of “Parsifal” by Richard Wagner, Luisa Miller and Giuseppe Verdi, Faust by Charles Gounod, Turandot by Giacomo Puccini.

Spanish operetta (Zarzuela), lyrical, symphonic and symphonic-choral concerts, a broad didactic program, a great program for the great Palau de les Arts.

On Tuesday 14th of October the tickets can be bought through Internet at www.lesarts.com and from Wednesday 15th of October in the box offices of the Palau (from Monday till Friday from 12 a.m. until 8 p.m.) and by phone at 902 202 383 (from Monday till Friday from 12:30 until 6 p.m.).

The fullest season ticket includes Parsifal, Luisa Miller, Lyrical Concert, Iphigénie en Tauride, El Rey que Rabió, Faust, Symphonic Concert, Così Fan Tutte, Symphonic-Choral Concert, Turandot, Symphonic Concerts on April 3rd and 17th and Ballet with the famous dancer Carlos Costa.
